Toma Mirza takes on new role at bank alongside acting
National Film Award-winning actress Toma Mirza has added a new chapter to her professional life alongside acting. She has joined a private bank as Assistant Vice President (AVP) in the Brand and Communications division. It is learned that the actress has been working at the institution for about three months.
Despite taking on a new profession, Toma has no plans to take a break from acting. In her words, acting is her first love, and she wants to continue acting regularly in the future. The bank authorities are also positive about her acting career, so she does not foresee any problems continuing both professions simultaneously.
From the beginning, Toma has been selective about her acting work. She does not join any project unless she likes the story and character. Rather than taking on many projects a year, she prefers to focus on one or two films or projects of her choice.
Apart from acting, Toma joined the banking sector to utilise her free time learning something new and gaining different experiences. According to her, this new professional experience will bring a new perspective to her personal life as well as her career.
Meanwhile, Toma has maintained her position in acting. She received praise from audiences and critics for her performances opposite Afran Nisho in the films 'Surong' and 'Dagi'. Earlier, she showcased her acting skills in OTT content like 'Janowar', 'Khanchar Bhitor Achin Pakhi' and 'Friday' with unconventional characters.
Her acting schedule is set to get busier soon. Toma Mirza is set to star in director Vicky Zahed's new film 'Kholnayak', opposite Afran Nisho once again. As a result, alongside her new banking responsibilities, the National Film Award-winning actress will soon be seen on the big screen.
