U.S. President Donald Trump has admitted his involvement in Israel’s attacks on Iran, reversing his earlier claim that the strikes were solely Israel’s decision, reports ABC News.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday (November 6), Trump said, “Israel carried out the strike first, but the entire plan was mine,” adding that it was “a remarkable day for Israel, causing more damage than any previous assault.”

On June 13, Israel launched a surprise attack inside Iran, killing several military officers, scientists, and civilians. Iran retaliated with missile strikes on Israel, prompting the United States to join the conflict in support of its ally and conduct air raids on Iranian nuclear sites.

Initially, Washington maintained that Israel had acted independently, but Trump has now confirmed he directed the operation from the start.

He further claimed the US had “completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear programme,” describing it as a major strategic success for his administration.

Tehran has not released an official assessment of the damage but insists its nuclear program remains operational, sustained by decades of technical expertise and infrastructure.

Iranian officials said the country retains both the capability and determination to continue nuclear research and production.
