Trump denies US involvement in attack on Iran
Former US President Donald Trump stated that the United States had no involvement in a recent attack on Iran, distancing Washington from growing military tensions between Israel and Tehran.
"The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight," Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
His statement comes amid escalating threats from Iran toward Western nations. Tehran warned the United States, the United Kingdom, and France that their military bases and naval assets in the region could be targeted if they support Israel in its defense against Iranian strikes.
The warning followed a report by The Telegraph citing US officials, who confirmed that American forces had helped intercept Iranian missiles aimed at Israel on Friday.
Despite denying involvement in the latest assault, Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, vowing a powerful military response if the US is attacked.
"If we are attacked in any way, shape, or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before," he said.
Trump also claimed he could mediate an agreement between the two adversaries to end the conflict.
"However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!" he added.
