US President Donald Trump has given Iran a new 48-hour ultimatum to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

He said that after this period, the US will 'destroy' or 'obliterate' Iran's power plants. BBC reports

Iran's state media reported that the country has retaliated by warning that if its energy and power infrastructure is hit, it will target all US energy infrastructure in the region.

Meanwhile, American A-10 attack jets and Apache helicopters have been seen flying at very low altitude in the Strait of Hormuz. Their main goal is to reopen this very important waterway and end the global energy crisis.

To counter this, Iran has a fleet of small ‘midget’ submarines, specially designed to operate in the shallow and murky waters of the Persian Gulf.

Iran has about 10 Ghadir-class midget submarines, which weigh 120 tons and are 29 meters long—about one-tenth the size of a typical attack submarine.
