US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, saying the United States would “massively blow up” Iran’s South Pars gas field if another attack is carried out on Qatar’s energy infrastructure.

The threat came in a lengthy post on his social media platform, Truth Social, reports The Gaurdian.

He added that while he preferred to avoid large-scale destruction due to long-term consequences, he would not hesitate to act if another strike occurred.

Trump claimed that the United States had no prior knowledge of Israel’s recent strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, describing the attack as carried out “in anger” and causing damage only to a small portion of the facility.

He called Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex “unjustified and irrational,” stressing the strategic importance of South Pars and warning that Israel would not target the site again.

Earlier reports from QatarEnergy confirmed significant fire and damage at the Ras Laffan Industrial City following Iran’s missile attack. The facility had been evacuated hours before the attack, as Iran had previously threatened retaliatory strikes on GCC facilities in response to Israel’s actions.
