Turkey and Singapore have announced the dates for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Both countries have decided to celebrate Eid on different days based on astronomical calculations rather than physical moon sighting.

Turkish authorities have announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on March 20 (Friday).

According to astronomical calculations, the Shawwal moon may be visible from Turkey and surrounding regions on Thursday. Therefore, Friday has been determined as Eid day.

On the other hand, Eid will be celebrated in Singapore on March 21 (Saturday). Based on analysis of astronomical data, the moon will not be visible from Singapore on Thursday, leading to this date.

Officials from both countries stated that Wednesday marks the 28th day of Ramadan, and the dates have been determined following lunar visibility models.
