TV presenter Samia Afreen begins new fight after beating colon cancer

Popular television presenter and actress Samia Afreen has revealed that she has been diagnosed with uterine cancer, marking another difficult chapter in her five-year battle with the disease.

Samia shared the news in an emotional social media post on Sunday night (August 23), saying a new cancer was detected in her body around three months ago. She subsequently underwent surgery, after which doctors diagnosed the disease as high-grade carcinoma.

She is now undergoing regular chemotherapy as part of her treatment, following medical advice.

Samia had previously battled colon cancer. Unlike her current treatment, she did not require chemotherapy at that time and recovered after undergoing immunotherapy.

The actress said the prospect of losing her hair because of chemotherapy has not discouraged her. Instead, she chose to embrace the change positively and got a new haircut before her hair began falling out.

She said her experience of fighting cancer has given her a deeper understanding of how difficult the journey can be, particularly for those who have gone through it themselves.

Samia also expressed hope that she would once again overcome the illness and return to normal life with the same strength she had shown during her first battle.

She ended her post by asking her fans, colleagues and well-wishers to pray for her recovery.
