UCB emerge champions in Bankers Futsal Championship 2026

United Commercial Bank (UCB PLC) emerged champions in the 'BCBL Bankers Futsal Championship 2026', organised by the Bankers' Club of Bangladesh Limited (BCBL), with the grand finale held at Bashundhara Sports City in the capital on Saturday night, June 20.

UCB claimed the title with a brilliant performance in the final, receiving a prize money of Tk 3 lakh and the champions' trophy. City Bank PLC finished as runners-up, receiving Tk 2 lakh and the runners-up trophy. Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) PLC won the 'Plate Championship'.

The event was attended by top executives from various banks across the country. Masrur Arefin, Chairman of the Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB) and Managing Director and CEO of City Bank PLC, was present as the chief guest.

BCBL President Md Rashed Akhter said the tournament is not just a competition but a platform to strengthen camaraderie, friendship and professional relationships among bankers. General Secretary Rashid-un-Nabi expressed gratitude to all participating banks, sponsors, guests and organisers for the successful hosting of the event.

Managing directors, senior executives, club members, players, team managers and officials from various banks attended the programme, which concluded with trophy presentations and group photos.
