Umme Marufa appointed Press Secretary at Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata

Umme Marufa has been appointed as the First Secretary (Press) of the Press Wing at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, India.

A notification was issued by the Contractual and Foreign Recruitment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday (July 27).

The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Golam Robbani, stated that Umme Marufa has been given a contractual appointment as First Secretary (Press) at the Press Wing of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, on the condition that she relinquishes any other professional or business ties, including with any government, semi-government or private institution or organisation.

The tenure of the appointment will be one year from the date of joining. Other terms of the appointment will be determined by the contract, the order stated.

Earlier, on July 22, the Press Secretary at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, Md Tarikul Islam Bhuiya (also known as Tarik Choyon), had resigned.
