Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed 413 Palestinians in one night, shocking UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The attack, on March 18, was the deadliest since a ceasefire began in January.

On Wednesday (March 19), Al Jazeera reported that Guterres condemned the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza and urged Israel to adhere to the ceasefire.

Guterres shared his statement on social media platform X, where he posted, "I am outraged by the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. I strongly appeal for the ceasefire to be respected, for unimpeded humanitarian assistance to be reestablished and for the remaining hostages to be released unconditionally."

Along with the UN Secretary-General, many countries' governments and various humanitarian organizations worldwide have condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.
