US changes rules for Iran
The US Department of Homeland Security has announced that the Iran football team is getting extra time to prepare for their final group match in the World Cup.
Ahead of their final group stage match against Egypt, the team will be allowed to travel to Seattle two days before the game. As a result, Iran will get one extra day compared to the 24-hour travel window provided for their previous two matches. However, the team must return to their base camp after the match. Iran's World Cup base is located in the city of Tijuana, Mexico.
This means that while Iran gets an opportunity for extra preparation before the crucial match against Egypt, they must return to Tijuana once the match is over.
