The US Embassy in Bahrain has urged American citizens to leave hotels in the capital Manama following an attack on the Crown Plaza Hotel, which left several people injured, according to a statement posted on social media platform X.

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior confirmed the hotel was targeted, reporting material damage but no fatalities.

The advisory comes after American officials had already been evacuated from Bahrain over fears of Iranian-linked attacks. The day prior, a missile strike hit the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in the island nation, damaging three buildings in Manama.

The embassy warned that hotels could be potential targets of further attacks, urging US citizens to exercise heightened caution and avoid certain locations while authorities investigate the incidents.
