The US embassy in Kuwait has been declared closed until further notice due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The embassy announced this in a post on social media platform X, reports Al Jazeera.

All routine and emergency consular interviews have been cancelled, the embassy said.

Earlier, an attack occurred near the US embassy in Kuwait. International media reports have attributed the March 2 attack to Iran.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has enough military stockpiles to "continue fighting forever."

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, "We have nearly unlimited stockpiles of these weapons. America is rich in weapons and ready to ensure great victory."

He posted this at midnight Washington DC time (5:00 am GMT).

He also alleged that his predecessor Joe Biden had supplied excessive quantities of advanced US weapons to Ukraine.

Towards the end of the Biden administration, Ukraine was supplied with long-range ATACMS missiles capable of striking targets up to 190 miles or 300 kilometres away.
