Before Donald Trump is sworn in as the new President of the United States on January 20, outgoing President Joe Biden delivered his final speech on foreign policy.

In his speech on Monday at the US State Department, Biden stated, "Over the past four years, we have faced crises and endured tests. I believe we are emerging stronger than when we first encountered these challenges."

Biden said, "We are at a pivotal moment. The post-Cold War era has come to an end, and a new era has begun. In the coming months and years, new challenges will arise. However, it is clear that my administration is leaving the next one in a much stronger position."

Biden stated that the US is stronger now than when he first took office, and its enemies are weaker.

He claimed that under his leadership, the US had strengthened its technology sector, economy, and strategic position against China.

Biden also praised his administration’s role in securing NATO support for Ukraine after Russia's invasion.

"I’m the first president in decades who is leaving no war for my successor in Afghanistan," he added.

In his speech, Biden also addressed his ceasefire plan for Gaza. The plan was approved by the United Nations Security Council in June last year, but a ceasefire agreement has not yet been reached.

Regarding Gaza, Biden said, "Many innocent people have been killed, and many communities have been destroyed. The Palestinian people deserve peace." He also discussed China, Russia, and other nations.
