Vinícius Júnior has ended months of speculation over his future by signing a new long-term contract with Real Madrid, keeping him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 30, 2032, the Spanish giants announced on Thursday (August 6).

The renewal brings an end to prolonged uncertainty surrounding the Brazilian forward, whose previous deal was due to expire in June 2027.

According to reports, Real Madrid tabled an improved financial package during decisive talks with Vinícius' representatives after negotiations had stalled for more than a year. The breakthrough allowed both sides to reach an agreement on a fresh six-year extension.

In an official statement, Real Madrid highlighted the 25-year-old's remarkable contribution since joining the club as an 18-year-old in 2018.

Vinícius has made 375 appearances, scored 128 goals, and helped Madrid lift 14 major trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles, three La Liga crowns, three Spanish Super Cups, one Copa del Rey, three FIFA Club World Cups, and two UEFA Super Cups.

The club described him as one of the defining figures of one of the most successful eras in Real Madrid's history.

The contract extension also ends speculation that Madrid could consider selling the Brazilian this summer if renewal talks failed. Premier League champions Arsenal had reportedly shown interest in signing the forward, but the new deal firmly secures his long-term future with the European champions.
