Brazil have taken a commanding 2-0 lead over Scotland in their World Cup Group C match in Miami, with Vinicius Junior scoring his second goal of the match in first-half stoppage time.

Vinicius headed home from a cross delivered by Gabriel from the right side, sending Brazilian fans into ecstasy just before the interval. The goal came in the third minute of added time, ensuring Brazil went into the break with a comfortable lead.

Earlier, Brazil had opened the scoring in the seventh minute through Vinicius, capitalising on a defensive blunder by Scotland. The Real Madrid forward now has three goals in as many World Cup matches.

The first half saw brief stoppage in the second minute after Rayan and Ferguson clashed heads following an aerial challenge.

Brazil are now in complete control of the match and are on course to secure their place in the knockout stage. Vinicius Junior has been the star of the show, with three goals in three matches, making him one of the standout players of the tournament so far. His movement, pace and finishing have been a constant threat to the Scottish defence.

Scotland, who need at least a point to keep their knockout hopes alive, will have to mount a strong second-half fightback if they are to stay in the tournament.
