Voting for the long-awaited 13th National Parliamentary Election is taking place today, Thursday, February 12. Polling will continue uninterrupted from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Alongside the parliamentary vote, a national referendum is also being held today on fundamental questions of state reform.

Voting is underway in 299 constituencies in the country as the election for Sherpur-3 constituency has been postponed.

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, the candidate for Dhaka-17 constituency in the capital, will cast his vote at the Gulshan Model High School and College center in Gulshan-2 area. This was confirmed to the media by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan. Tarique Rahman is also contesting from the Bogura-6 constituency in addition to Dhaka-17 constituency.

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman is the candidate for Dhaka-15 constituency. He will cast his vote at the Manipur High School (Boys' Branch) center located in Mirpur-2 area, according to party sources.

National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam is contesting from Dhaka-11 constituency as a candidate of the Jamaat-led 11-party electoral alliance. Sources said that he will cast vote at AKM Rahmat Ullah University College center in Beraid area.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is contesting from Thakurgaon-1 constituency. He will vote from Thakurgaon Government Girls High School center. On the other hand, Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar is contesting from Khulna-5 constituency. He will vote from Shiromani Paschimpara Government Primary School center in Fultala upazila.

Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque will cadt vote at Government Physical Education College center in Mohammadpur as a candidate for Dhaka-13 constituency.

Jonayed Saki, the chief coordinator of Ganasamhati Andolan, is contesting from Brahmanbaria-6 constituency with the support of BNP. He will vote at the Kalakandi (South) Government Primary School center in Charlouhania village of Faydabad union in Bancharampur upazila.

President of the Gono Odhikar Parishad and former VP of DUCSU Nurul Haque is contesting as a BNP-backed candidate in Patuakhali-3 constituency. He will vote at the Galachipa Government Model Secondary School center.

Besides, AB Party chairman Mojibur Rahman (Manju) is a candidate for Feni-2 constituency. This candidate of the 11-party electoral alliance will vote at the Sharshadi Uttar Khanebari Primary School center in Feni Sadar upazila. General Secretary of the same party Asaduzzaman Fuad is contesting in Barisal-3 constituency. He will cadt vote at the Madhabpasha Chandradeep High School and College center.

Chief Adviser of the interim government Professor Muhammad Yunus will cast his vote at the Gulshan Model School and College centre in the capital on election day. He will vote at 10 am today, Thursday, February 12. The Chief Adviser's Press Wing confirmed this in a press release.

According to the press release, Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury will vote at 10 am at Baridhara Scholars International School and College centre in Dhaka Cantonment. Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid will vote between 8 am and 8:30 am at Manarat Dhaka International School and College centre in Gulshan-1.

Labour and Employment and Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) M Sakhawat Hossain will vote between 3:30 pm and 4 pm at Bangladesh International School and College centre in DOHS, Mohakhali. Information and Broadcasting, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and Water Resources Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan will vote between 10:00 am and 10:30 am at Ideal College centre on Central Road, Dhaka.

Food and Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder will vote at 8 am on Thursday at Uttara's Parashmani Laboratory School centre. Additionally, Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed will vote at 12 pm at Gulshan Model High School and College centre.
