Will deliver most beautiful election in history: Dr Yunus

Dr Muhammad Yunus, chief advisor to the interim government, said he will deliver the most beautiful election in the history after 17 years.

He made the remark at a policy dialogue held at the prestigious Chatham House in London on Wednesday.

Dr Yunus said, “For the first time in 17 years, we are preparing for a genuine election—one that will stand out as the most beautiful in our history.”

Earlier, Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus met with Jonathan Powell, the UK’s National Security Advisor. At 9.00am (London time) on the second day of his visit, Professor Yunus held talks with Powell, during which they discussed regional and global security issues, South Asian geopolitics, and the challenges posed by climate change. At 10:15am, Professor Yunus had a courtesy meeting with Ben Bland, Director of the Asia-Pacific Program, and Dr Chetan Bajpai, Senior Researcher on South Asia, both from Chatham House, London.

Later, at 11.00am, Professor Yunus took part as the main speaker in a policy dialogue at Chatham House. The event was held in the main hall of Chatham House and was attended by British and international diplomats, researchers, and media personnel.
