Xiaomi Pad 9 pro coming with 12.5-inch display and 11,000mah battery

Xiaomi may bring major hardware upgrades in its new Pad 9 series to intensify competition in the premium tablet market. Several possible specifications of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro have emerged from information leaked by technology analyst Digital Chat Station on China’s social media platform Weibo. However, Xiaomi has not yet officially confirmed these details.

According to the leaked information, the new tablet may feature a 12.5-inch LCD display. It is said to support 3.2K resolution along with a maximum 144Hz refresh rate. The screen of the new model will be larger compared to the 11.2-inch display of the current Pad 8 Pro. As a result, comparatively more space will be available for multimedia use, gaming and multitasking.

Significant changes have also been indicated on the performance front. The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is being talked about as using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset built on 3-nanometre technology. It is claimed to have eight Orion CPU cores and an Adreno 829 GPU. As a result, the tablet is expected to deliver strong performance in high-end gaming, video editing and heavy app usage.

A major upgrade may also come in the battery. According to the buzz, the Pad 9 Pro will have an 11,000mAh battery and support 67W wired fast charging. The capacity of the new model will be nearly 20 percent higher compared to the 9,200mAh battery of the previous Pad 8 Pro. However, the charging capacity may remain the same 67W as the previous model.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s plan regarding the Pad 9 Pro Max as the most powerful version of the Pad 9 series has already become clear. The company has said the model will hit the market in September and will use Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chip. Information about the presence of Xring O3, 16GB RAM and Android 17 in the Pad 9 Pro Max has also been found in the recent Geekbench list.

However, Xiaomi has not yet announced the specific launch time, price and full specifications of the Pad 9 Pro.
