Yamin Farshi crowned for glamour looks

The popular national fashion reality show, Mr and Miss Glamour Looks Season 5, recently concluded, crowning Yamin Farshi and Tajkia as joint champions. Yamin Farshi’s journey to victory was not only about talent but also about struggle.

Speaking about her win, Yamin said the feeling is truly wonderful. She never imagined reaching this point. She believes that self-confidence is essential to survive in fashion modelling, along with maintaining fitness, staying aware of trends, and a good sense of fashion. So far, she has worked on approximately 40 to 45 shoots.

Yamin’s dream of entering showbiz began in childhood. Born in Barishal, she grew up in Dhaka. However, financial difficulties in the family delayed her aspirations. At the age of seven or eight, she moved to Dhaka with her parents. Despite her father being in business, the family faced constant struggles, leaving little room for hobbies or purchasing nice clothes.

During these challenging times, her mother was her greatest source of strength. Yamin said her mother always encouraged her, even registering her for Mr and Miss Glamour Looks Season 5. Despite being unable to attend some grooming classes due to illness, her mother insisted she keep trying, and her grandmother’s prayers were also a major source of motivation.

Currently, Yamin Farshi is in her third year of a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Alongside her studies, she is carving a path in showbiz, seeing this journey as just the beginning of fulfilling her dreams. She hopes to move further ahead, drawing inspiration from struggle and family support.
