Italy's Yannick Sinner clinched his first-ever Wimbledon title after a remarkable comeback against defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in final on the hallowed grass courts of Wimbledon on Sunday (July 13).

In a gripping contest, Alcaraz, the two-time Wimbledon champion and five-time Grand Slam winner, took the first set 6-4. However, Sinner, the top-seeded Italian, responded with a determined display, winning the next three sets with identical 6-4 scores to seal a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory.

The triumph marks Sinner's fourth Grand Slam title, following a career-defining victory at Wimbledon. For Alcaraz, it marks a rare defeat at the All England Club, ending his bid for a third consecutive Wimbledon win. The loss also brings an end to his impressive 20-match winning streak at the tournament.

Sinner's victory was particularly sweet after his loss to Alcaraz at the French Open earlier this year. This time, the 23-year-old Italian got his revenge, further cementing his place as one of tennis' rising stars.

With this historic win, Sinner joins an elite group of players who have triumphed at Wimbledon.
