Yemeni military says 200 Houthis ‘neutralized’ in 744 strikes over 24 hours
Yemen’s armed forces said Tuesday they had “neutralized” around 200 Houthi fighters and destroyed or damaged 90 military vehicles and pieces of equipment in 744 strikes over the past 24 hours, as government forces continued their offensive against the Iran-backed militia across multiple fronts.
Colonel Majed al-Nuzaily, a spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, said the strikes were carried out as part of Operation Dawn of Yemen, targeting Houthi command and control centers, fortified positions, firing sites, troop concentrations, reinforcements and supply routes.

In a post on X, al-Nuzaily said the operations involved warplanes, drones, field artillery, rocket launchers and sniper units.
In Taiz, government forces continued to intensify their offensive, pushing Houthi fighters into retreat, according to the spokesman.
He said government troops also maintained coordinated operations across the eastern, southern and western fronts, restricting the militia’s ability to move reserve forces and preventing it from making territorial gains.
The operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 200 Houthi fighters and the destruction or damage of 90 military vehicles and pieces of equipment, al-Nuzaily said.
Al-Nuzaily said government forces were continuing their operations in accordance with their military plan, stressing that strikes were restricted to legitimate military targets and that precautions were being taken to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
The latest announcement follows several days of intensified fighting under Operation Dawn of Yemen.
On Monday, al-Nuzaily said government forces had carried out 1,164 strikes over the preceding 24 hours, neutralizing 558 Houthi fighters, including field commanders, and destroying or damaging 135 military vehicles and pieces of equipment.
He also reported government advances in Taiz, continued pressure on Houthi positions in Shabwa and the southern fronts, and operations along the western coast and near the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
The offensive comes amid a broader escalation in Yemen, with Saudi-led coalition forces conducting operations against Houthi military infrastructure following repeated missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia.
