The Afghanistan Under-19 team leveled the five-match series with an emphatic 102-run win over hosts Bangladesh Under-19 in the third youth ODI at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium on Wednesday (November 5).

Bangladesh won the first match by five runs on DLS method before the second game was washed out.

Electing to bat first, Afghanistan put on a respectable 275-7, thanks to an
unbeaten 68 from their captain Mahboob Khan.

Uzairullah Niazai made 31 while opener Osman Sadat was the other notable contributor with 26.

Al Fahad and captain Azizul Hakim Tamim grabbed two wickets apiece for Bangladesh.

While one of Afghanistan was able to make a half-century, Bangladesh got two half-centurion in Kalam Siddiki Alin and Rizan Hossan. But despite their effort, Bangladesh were bowled out for a meager 173 in 37.2 overs, largely due to the abysmal batting from the others.

Kalam made team-best 71 off 79 with eight fours and one six while Rizan hit 50 ball-51 with three fours and four sixes.

Opener Zawad Abrar added 25. Apart from these three, no batters could reach double digits with three batters bagging ducks.

Zaitullah Shaheen was the wrecker-in-chief with 4-40 while Wahidullah Zadran complemented him with 3-23.
