Zayed Khan stands by ailing Rifat Chowdhury

Actor Zayed Khan has extended a helping hand for the treatment of ailing actor and poet Rifat Chowdhury. After news of Rifat's illness became public, he took the initiative to support his treatment. Zayed Khan, currently in the United States, provided financial assistance to Rifat Chowdhury on Thursday. Zayed Khan told the media, "It is natural for artistes to stand by artistes. From that place, I have tried to stand by Rifat bhai as much as I can." Calling on others to stand by the talented actor and poet as well, Zayed Khan wished him a speedy recovery.

Earlier, actor Chanchal Chowdhury, sharing news of Rifat Chowdhury's illness on social media, called for standing by him. He said it has become difficult to provide Rifat with proper treatment due to financial constraints. In this situation, he requested help from his acquaintances, colleagues, fans and concerned organisations. The Actors' Welfare Association (Abhinoy Shilpi Sangha) has also extended a helping hand for Rifat's treatment. The organisation provided him with financial assistance. Amid this, after Chanchal Chowdhury's call, Zayed Khan has now provided assistance personally.

Rifat Chowdhury has been suffering from leg and waist problems. Due to his illness, he cannot even walk properly. He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on September 14. There, he initially had to spend days on the hospital floor. He later got a bed. After news of his illness was published in the media, he was moved to a cabin. He is currently undergoing treatment there.
