Zero tolerance policy for misconduct against women: Rubaba

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)'s newly elected director Rubaba Dowla has said that 'zero tolerance' policy will be adopted for any kind of misconduct against women.

She said: "I want to ensure the safety and security of female cricketers. Our position against any kind of harassment is: zero tolerance."

Rubaba Dowla has taken charge as the first female director in the history of the BCB. In her first public speech after taking charge, Rubaba Dowla expressed her feelings, goals and strong stance on the safety of female cricketers.

She said: "I am actually very happy to come before you. I feel very honoured that this responsibility has been given to me. Our goal will be to improve the quality of cricket, to move forward together."

Expressing her desire to further expansion of women's participation and leadership in this new chapter of BCB, she said: "Today I am not just standing as a BCB director; I also stand as a woman. Women have come a long way in the country's context, we want to strengthen that progress."
