One dengue patient died and 32 patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning, according to the daily statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). "During the period, eight dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city&nbsp;while 24 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital city," the&nbsp;statement added. The total number of cases this year rose to 853 while 148 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country. Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of&nbsp;321,179 dengue cases.

গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় (শনিবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে রবিবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত) দেশে&nbsp;&nbsp;ডেঙ্গু জ্বরে আক্রান্ত হয়ে আরও একজন মারা গেছেন। অন্যদিকে একই সময়ের মধ্যে এডিস মশাবাহিত এ রোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে দেশের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন আরও ৩২ জন। মারা যাওয়া ডেঙ্গু রোগী ঢাকায় চিকিৎসাধীন ছিলেন। এ নিয়ে চলতি বছরে ডেঙ্গু জ্বরে&nbsp;মোট ১৪ জনের মৃত্যু হলো। রবিবার (২১ জানুয়ারি) স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের এক প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এসব তথ্য জানানো হয়। এতে আরও বলা হয়, ২৪ ঘণ্টায় যারা হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছে, তাদের মধ্যে ৮ জন ঢাকা মহানগরে এবং বাকি ২৪ জন ঢাকার বাইরে বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। এ সময়ে সুস্থ হয়ে হাসপাতাল থেকে বাড়ি ফিরেছেন ৩০ জন। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর জানিয়েছে, চলতি বছরের জানুয়ারি মাসের ২১ দিনে ডেঙ্গু রোগীর সংখ্যা বেড়ে ৮৫৩ জনে দাঁড়িয়েছে। এর মধ্যে দেশের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন আছেন ১৪৮ জন ডেঙ্গু রোগী। এর আগে গত বছর দেশে ডেঙ্গুতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যু হয়েছিল ১ হাজার ৭০৫ জনের। আর এই রোগে মোট আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা ছিল ৩ লাখ ২১ হাজার ১৭৯।
