A total of 352 people were hospitalized due to dengue in the past 24 hours—the highest single-day count so far this year. One dengue-related death was also reported during this period. According to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued on Saturday (June 21), 290 of the new cases were reported from outside Dhaka. So far in 2025, dengue has claimed 31 lives—16 men and 15 women. The total number of infections stands at 7,429, with 4,410 male and 3,027 female patients.

ডেঙ্গুতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন ৩৫২ জন। চলতি বছর এখন পর্যন্ত এটিই একদিনে সর্বোচ্চ রোগী ভর্তির রেকর্ড। একই সময়ে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত একজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। শনিবার (২১ জুন) স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এই তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে ২৯০ জনই ঢাকার বাইরের। এতে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, চলতি বছর এখন পর্যন্ত ডেঙ্গুতে মারা গেছেন ৩১ জন, যাদের মধ্যে ১৬ জন পুরুষ ও ১৫ জন নারী। এছাড়া এখন পর্যন্ত মোট আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন সাত হাজার ৪২৯ জন, যার মধ্যে চার হাজার ৪১০ জন পুরুষ ও তিন হাজার ২৭ জন নারী।
