10 bands to rock Nazrul Concert 2025 today in Dhaka

In a vibrant tribute to the enduring legacy of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, ten of the country’s leading bands are set to perform at 'Nazrul Concert 2025', taking place today (Saturday) on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.

Organised by the Nazrul Institute, the open-air concert aims to bring Nazrul’s revolutionary spirit to life through powerful musical interpretations.

The lineup includes Warfaze, Souls, Dalchhut, Ark, Shironamhin, Different Touch, MNB, Rebel, Black, and F Minor — all performing contemporary renditions of the poet’s iconic songs.

The concert, which will run from 5.00pm to 10.00pm, will also feature select recitations of Nazrul’s poems. Entry is free for all.

A special album will be released featuring 10 of Nazrul’s most inspiring songs performed at the event, including “Karar Oi Louho Kopat,” “Tora Sob Joyodhoni Kor,” “Jago Onoshon-Bondi,” and “Pardeshi Megh.” The tracks will be available on the Nazrul Institute's website and social media platforms.

Latiful Islam Shibli, executive director of the Nazrul Institute, confirmed the event details, while Nazrul Sangeet exponent Yakub Ali Khan is serving as the project’s mentor.
