The 2025 government primary scholarship examination is scheduled to be held in April. The Directorate of Primary Education on Sunday, March 22, published the complete policy and guidelines for examinees.
Exam subjects and marks distribution
The examination will be held in two phases, each lasting two hours and 30 minutes. According to the policy, students will be tested in five subjects: Bangla, English, Mathematics, Elementary Science, and Bangladesh and Global Studies.
Exams for Bangla, English and Mathematics will each carry 100 marks and be held over 2 hours 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Elementary Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies together will carry 100 marks (50 each) and be held in the same timeframe. Students with special needs will receive an additional 30 minutes.
To receive a scholarship, students must secure at least 40 per cent marks in each subject. Scholarships will be awarded in two categories: Talent Pool and General. Equal quotas (50 per cent) will be allocated for male and female students.
Eighty per cent of scholarships will go to government primary school students, with the remaining 20 per cent for private school students.
