10-day Eid holiday will not affect economy: Finance Adviser
The country is set to observe a continuous 10-day holiday starting from June 5 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. However, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Finance Adviser to the government, has assured that the extended holiday will not have any negative impact on the nation’s economy.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the government procurement advisory committee at the Secretariat on Wednesday (June 4), Dr. Ahmed stated that despite the prolonged holiday period, economic activities will continue without disruption.
He further added that reactions and feedback regarding the recently presented national budget will be reviewed after Eid. The budget is scheduled to be passed on June 22.
