10-year-old child raped in Gulshan, 1 held

A 10-year-old child has been accused of being raped in Baridhara Diplomatic area of ​​the capital's Gulshan. Police have arrested accused Sajal Hossain Palash (40) in this incident.

The incident took place on Monday (March 10) at around 11:30 am. Later, Gulshan Police Station took the child to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital for a physical examination at around 1 pm.

Citing the mother of the child who was raped, Gulshan Police Station SI Naeem Uddin Sujan said that accused Sajal Hossain Palash found the child alone at home at around 11:30 am on Monday and raped her by threatening her. Later, when the child told her mother about the matter, she consulted her relatives and went to Gulshan Police Station and filed a case against accused Sajal.

He said that the police took the child to DMCH Hospital on Monday afternoon for a medical check-up.
