11 held in special police drive in Mohammadpur

Police have arrested 11 individuals in a day-long special operation conducted in Mohammadpur Police Station area. Apart from individuals with outstanding warrants, others were detained on allegations of involvement in various criminal activities.

The information was confirmed by Muhammad Talebur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Media and Public Relations Department on Saturday, December 6.

He said that the operation was carried out from Friday morning until night. Those arrested are Yasin, 22, Raihan, 23, Parvez, 30, Ahammad Sadman, 29, Sajid, 22, Alamin, 25, Imon, 23, Kashem, 23, Mahmud Hasan Swadhin, 23, Mithu, 30, and Shakil, 24.

He added that the operation aimed to maintain law and order and curb crime in Mohammadpur area. The arrested individuals have been sent to court after completion of legal procedures.

Police further stated that such special drives will continue regularly to strengthen overall security and keep criminal activities under control in the area.
