11th AGM of Sonali Life Insurance held

Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited held its 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday (August 31) at the company’s head office in capital's Malibagh.

The meeting began at 11:30am and was presided over by Chairman of the Board of Directors Moinul Islam.

The AGM approved the audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2023, and declared a 10% cash dividend for shareholders.

The meeting also endorsed the appointment of statutory and compliance auditors for 2024.

Independent Directors Kazi Moniruzzaman and Zafar Iqbal NDC, Observer Md. Shah Alam, Shareholder Directors Fazlutun Nesa and Mostafa Kamrus Sobhan, Representative Director of Rupali Insurance Co. Limited Fouzia Kamrun Tania, Sponsor Director Sheikh Md. Daniel, Managing Director and Acting CEO Md. Rafiqul Islam, and Company Secretary Md. Abdur Rob, FCS, along with other senior officials, attended the meeting. A large number of shareholders also participated.

The shareholders lauded the company’s performance and expressed appreciation for its contribution to the insurance sector, while the board reiterated its commitment to sustainable growth and good governance.
