The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for consumers has been reduced in June. The cost of a 12 kg cylinder has dropped by Tk28, from Tk1,431 to Tk1,403. The price of autogas has also been lowered. The new price for autogas is Tk64.30 per liter, which is Tk1.27 less than before. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices on Monday (June 2), and they will come into effect starting this evening. Notably, in May, the LPG price was lowered by Tk19 to Tk1,431. At that time, the autogas price was set at Tk65.57 per liter.

ভোক্তা পর্যায়ে তরলীকৃত পেট্রোলিয়াম গ্যাসের (এলপিজি) দাম জুন মাসে কমানো হয়েছে। ১২ কেজি সিলিন্ডারের দাম ১ হাজার ৪৩১ টাকা থেকে ২৮ টাকা কমে ১ হাজার ৪০৩ টাকা নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। এ ছাড়া কমেছে অটোগ্যাসের দামও। প্রতি লিটার অটোগ্যাসের নতুন মূল্য নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে ৬৪ টাকা ৩০ পয়সা, যা পূর্বের দামের তুলনায় ১ টাকা ২৭ পয়সা কম। বাংলাদেশ এনার্জি রেগুলেটরি কমিশন (বিইআরসি) সোমবার (২ জুন) নতুন এই মূল্য ঘোষণা করেছে, যা কার্যকর হবে আজ সন্ধ্যা থেকে। উল্লেখযোগ্য , মে মাসে এলপিজির দাম ১৯ টাকা কমিয়ে ১,৪৩১ টাকা নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছিল। সেই সময় অটোগ্যাসের দর নির্ধারণ করা হয় ৬৫ টাকা ৫৭ পয়সা প্রতি লিটার।
