120 magistrates appointed for 47th BCS preliminary

The government has appointed 120 officials as executive magistrates with the authority to operate mobile courts in order to maintain law and order during the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination.

A notification in this regard was issued on Tuesday (September 9) by the Ministry of Public Administration under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.

The multiple-choice preliminary test will be held on September 19 from 10am to 12pm at 113 centres across Dhaka. One executive magistrate will be assigned to each centre. In addition, seven magistrates have been appointed to serve in the control room of the Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretariat.

According to the notification, the appointed executive magistrates must attend a briefing seminar organised by the PSC at 11am on September 14. They have also been instructed to report to the PSC office by 4:30am on the exam day (September 19).
