Thirteen Bangladeshi nationals — including men, women, and children — were pushed into Bangladesh by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) at the Cumilla border. The incident occurred on Thursday morning in the Golabari border area of Cumilla Sadar Upazila.

Lieutenant Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz, Commander of Comilla 10 BGB, confirmed the matter around noon. He said, “Around 4:00 am today, the Indian BSF illegally pushed 13 individuals — including women and children — into Bangladesh through the Golabari border area in Comilla Sadar Upazila.”

“While they were illegally entering Bangladesh from India, a patrol team from BGB 60 caught them. Among them are three men, three women, and seven children,” he added.

During preliminary questioning, the detained individuals stated that they were forced into Bangladesh by the BSF. They are currently being held in BGB custody and will be handed over to the relevant district administration following verification, according to the BGB official.
