13th national election to be held by Feb 15: Press Secretary

The 13th National Parliamentary Election will be held by February 15 next year, with no possibility of postponement, according to Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the Chief Adviser of the government.

He made the remark while speaking to reporters on Friday morning (September 12) during a visit to the ancestral home of poet Farrukh Ahmed in Majhail-Mandartala village under Sreepur Upazila of Magura.

“No one will be able to obstruct this election. A free and fair election will take place in the first week of February in a peaceful atmosphere, much like the recent DUCSU polls, with spontaneous participation from voters,” Shafiqul Alam stated.

Magura Deputy Commissioner Md. Ahidul Islam, Railway Project Engineer Asaduzzaman Asad, and several local dignitaries were also present during the visit.
