Manikganj is widely regarded as one of the BNP’s strongest bases in the Dhaka division. However, in several past elections, the Awami League has also demonstrated significant strength in a number of constituencies—something reflected in election results prior to 2014, 2018, and 2024. With the Awami League absent from the 13th National Parliament elections, voters in Manikganj are once again recalculating their electoral choices.
