13th National Parliamentary Election: Chandpur District
In Chandpur district, the electoral strength of the Awami League and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has traditionally been almost evenly balanced. This pattern is evident in the results of past elections considered competitive (excluding the elections of 2014, 2018, and 2024). However, in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the absence of the Awami League has reshaped the electoral calculations, prompting voters to reassess the political landscape. Candidates: A total of six candidates are contesting in this constituency. Habib Khan is contesting with the Plough symbol from the Jatiya Party. Abu Nasr Mohammad Makbul Ahmed is contesting with the Scales symbol from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Md. Enayet Hossain is contesting with the Truck symbol from Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP). Mohammad Azad Hossain is contesting with the Rising Sun symbol from Gono Forum. Mohammad Nasir Uddin is contesting with the Candle symbol from Bangladesh Islamic Front. A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon is contesting with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Previous Results: In 1991, Mezbah Uddin Khan was elected from the Awami League. In June 1996, A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon was elected as a Member of Parliament from BNP. He was re-elected from BNP in 2001. In 2008, Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Awami League.
Chandpur-2 (Parliamentary Constituency No. 261): Chandpur-2 comprises Matlab North Upazila and Matlab South Upazila. The total number of voters in this constituency is 501,061, including 256,500 male, 244,559 female, and 2 third-gender voters.

Chandpur-3 (Parliamentary Constituency No. 262): Chandpur-3 consists of Chandpur Sadar Upazila and Haimchar Upazila. The total number of voters is 546,334, including 282,704 male, 263,628 female, and 2 third-gender voters.

Chandpur-4 (Parliamentary Constituency No. 263): Chandpur-4 comprises Faridganj Upazila of Chandpur district. The total number of voters is 400,631, including 208,603 male, 192,027 female, and 1 third-gender voter.
