14 more held in capital in special operation

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) continues special operation in crime-prone areas of the capital to control crime.

As part of this, Mohammadpur Police has arrested 14 people involved in various crimes. Four auto-rickshaw batteries, 100 pure heroin, 30 grams of marijuana and 18 pieces of Yaba tablets were also seized from them.

Police sources said that the 14 people arrested from different places in the last two days' operation are regular accused in cases and criminals involved in various offences. They have been sent to jail through the court.

The arrested are Khushi alias Khuki, 30, Amit, 25, Sagar, 30, Ismail Hossain Malek, 40, Mohammad Ali, 32, Awal Bepari, 42, Mishal, 18, Faisal, 18, Raihan, 22, Imran, 26, Mamun, 25, Rabbi, 25, Naeem Molla, 23, and Manzil Sharif Apu, 23.
