14 senior police officers including addl DIG, SP transferred

The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred 14 senior police officers, including eight Additional DIGs and six Police Superintendents (SPs), in a move described as being in the public interest.

The transfer notification was issued on Thursday (September 11) by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division and signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman on the order of the President.

The transfers take effect immediately.

Among the transferred Additional DIGs, Sultana Nazma Hossain of DMP will join the Tourist Police, Md. Saleh Uddin of DMP has been posted to RAB, Md. Humayun Kabir to PBI, Mohammad Riazul Haque to the Police Telecom Unit, Mohammad Anwarul Haque of PBI to Sylhet Range DIG Office, and Md. Shamim Hossain of BMP to Rajshahi Range. OSD Asma Siddika Mili has been transferred to Dhaka TDS.

Among the transferred Police Superintendents, Gautam Kumar Biswas of DMP will take charge in Chuadanga, while Khandaker Golam Maula, Chuadanga SP, has been posted to Police Headquarters. Other SP transfers include Md. Humayun Kabir (Barisal PBI) to Barisal Range DIG Office, Shakila Soltana (Railway Police) to Dhaka Range DIG Office, Momtazul Ehsan Ahmed Humayun and Abu Torab Md. Shamsur Rahman (PBI) to Highway Police, and Md. Amir Khasru (SB) to DMP.
