The government has transferred 14 senior officials of the Bangladesh Police. Those transferred include officers of the ranks of deputy inspector general, additional deputy inspector general and superintendent of police. The information was disclosed in a notification issued on Wednesday, December 7, by the Police-1 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman. The notification said the transfer orders were issued in the public interest and would take effect immediately.

বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের ঊর্ধ্বতন পর্যায়ের ১৪ জন কর্মকর্তাকে বদলি করেছে সরকার। বদলিকৃত কর্মকর্তাদের মধ্যে ডিআইজি, অতিরিক্ত ডিআইজি এবং পুলিশ সুপার (এসপি) পদমর্যাদার কর্মকর্তারা রয়েছেন। বুধবার (৭ ডিসেম্বর) স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের পুলিশ-১ শাখা থেকে জারি করা এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। এতে উপসচিব মো. মাহবুবর রহমানের সই রয়েছে। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়েছে, জনস্বার্থে জারি করা এ বদলির আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে।
