A collision involving four vehicles occurred on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Munshiganj's Shreenagar, due to dense fog. At least 15 people were injured in the accident.

The incident occurred around 7:30 AM on Monday (February 17) in the Kamarkhola area of the Dhaka-bound lane on the expressway. The injured have been rescued and are receiving treatment both at the hospital and locally. One of the victims is in critical condition.

According to the Highway Police and Fire Service, the accident occurred when a covered van collided with a stationary pickup truck in dense fog in Kamarkhola. Simultaneously, two buses approaching from behind crashed into each other. As a result, the covered van and both passenger buses were severely damaged. Upon receiving the report, rescuers cut open the damaged vehicles to free the injured and transported them to the hospital.

Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge of Hasara highway police, confirmed the matter. He said, "After the accident, one vehicle left the scene. The injured were rescued from the damaged vehicles and sent to the hospital. The accident was likely caused by the dense fog. Traffic on the expressway is now normal."
