15 senior police officers transferred in major reshuffle

In another reshuffle within the police administration, 15 senior police officers were transferred simultaneously. The Public Security Division of the Ministry issued three separate circulars regarding this on Thursday (December 5).

According to the circulars, Md. Mainul Hasan, the former Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has been appointed as the Additional Inspector General (IG) of Tourist Police; DIG Kazi Md. Fazlul Karim of the Industrial Police has been transferred to the Police Headquarters; DIG Md. Abul Kalam Siddique of Tourist Police has been appointed to the Industrial Police; Mohammad Taherul Haque Chowdhury, Joint Commissioner of DMP, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police; Md. Delwar Hossain, Additional Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, has been transferred to the position of Additional Commissioner at CID; DIG SN Md. Nazrul Islam of CID has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of DMP; Additional DIG Sultana Nazma Hossain has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner of DMP.

Additionally, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, promoted to Deputy Commissioner (DC) from the position of Additional Deputy Police Commissioner at DMP, has been appointed as DC of DMP; Mohammad Kamruzzaman from TDS has been appointed as the Police Superintendent of the Police Staff College; Shafiqul Islam from the Barisal Range has been appointed as DC of Khulna Metropolitan Police; Mohammad Moniruzzaman from CID has been appointed as the Police Superintendent of CID, and Md. Salahuddin from CID has also been appointed as the Police Superintendent in the same department.

Furthermore, Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad from Tourist Police has been transferred as Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP, and Shah Md. Abdur Rouf from PBI has been transferred as Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP.

In another notification, Begum Shamima Ara, an Additional Superintendent of Police at RAB, has been transferred and promoted to the rank of Police Superintendent.
