17 additional DIGs transferred simultaneously

The government has simultaneously transferred 17 Additional DIGs who were promoted as supernumerary in Bangladesh Police. A notification to this effect was issued by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday, April 15.

The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed on the president's order, stated that these BCS (Police) cadre officers have been transferred to designated posts and workplaces, and the order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.

The transferred officers are: Md Anwar Hossain, SP of Industrial Police; Kamrul Hasan Mahmud, Special SP of SB; Tofayel Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur RMP; Sufian Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of DMP; Muhammad Bachir Uddin, Special SP of CID; Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Special SP of SB; Hossain Mohammad Kabir Bhuiya, Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram CMP; Md Mahbubul Karim, AIG of Police Headquarters; and Md Al-Mamun, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi RMP.

Additionally, the following officers have also been transferred: Md Asaduzzaman, SP of Narayanganj Industrial Police-4; Md Anichur Rahman, Special SP of SB; Dr A K M Akhtaruzzaman Basunia, SP at Rangpur Range DIG Office; Md Jahangir Alam, AIG of Police Headquarters; Md Hayatun Nabi, Special SP of SB; Md Abdullah Al-Mamun, AIG of Police Headquarters; Afroza Parveen, SP of Police Staff College; and Md Tofayel Ahmed Mia, SP of Railway Police.
