1,774 arrested, 179 weapons recovered since election schedule announcement: ISPR
Since the announcement of the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election, joint operations by the army to maintain law and order have resulted in the recovery of 179 weapons and 1,941 rounds of ammunition. During this period, 1,774 people have been arrested.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed the information in a press release on Sunday.
According to ISPR, from 11 December 2025, when the election schedule was announced, to 1 February 2026, the joint operations led to the seizure of the weapons and ammunition and the arrest of the suspects.
