19 Bangladeshis among 82 migrants surrender in Malaysia

A total of 82 foreign nationals have voluntarily surrendered to the immigration authorities in the Malaysian state of Kelantan since the beginning of this year, including 19 Bangladeshi nationals.

Kelantan State Immigration Department Director, Mohamad Yusoff Khan, confirmed that the individuals admitted to visa-overstay offences and expressed their desire to return to their home countries.

According to official data, among those who surrendered were 29 Indonesians, 19 Bangladeshis, and 17 Thai nationals. Additionally, three other foreigners were detained during operations for violating immigration laws.

The immigration authorities said that the process of repatriation becomes faster for those who surrender voluntarily.
