2 arrested over killing of constable Aminul: DMP chief
Two persons were arrested for their suspected involvement in killing police constable Amirul Parvez during Saturday’s clashes between police and activists of BNP, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner Habibur Rahman.
The arrestees are--Shamim Reza, convenor of Palashbari Municipality unit of Juba Dal in Gaibandha district and Md. Sultan.
The DMP chief said this while attending the Namaz-e-Janaza of Aminul on Sunday afternoon.
The arrestees are involved with BNP politics and one was arrested from Gaibandha and the other from Dhaka’s Demra area, said the DMP chief.
Aminul Parvez, a constable of DMP's CTTC unit, was killed in a clash with supporters of BNP in Fakirapool area on Saturday afternoon.
Police filed a murder case with Paltan Police Station in connection with the killing of Constable Amirul on Saturday night.
Aminul's Namaz-e-Janaza was held today at Rajarbagh Police Lines where he was given due tribute.
