2 die of dengue, 157 hospitalized

Two people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours across the country. At the same time, 157 people have been admitted to various hospitals in the country due to dengue. This information was reported as of 8am on Wednesday.

This information was given in a press release on dengue sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.

It said that 12 people have died of dengue so far this year. During this period, 5,317 patients have been admitted to the hospital. According to the information provided by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services, dengue patients have been identified in 58 of the 64 districts of the country from January 1 to June 19 this year.

The Directorate General of Health Services also said that from January 1 to December 31, 2025, 1 lakh 2 thousand 861 people were infected with dengue. A total of 413 people died of dengue that year.
