2 drivers killed in Faridpur motorcycle collision

Two drivers were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Bhanga, Faridpur. Two more riders were injured in the incident.

The accident occurred around 10:30pm at the Purba Sadardi bus stand area of ​​Bhanga upazila on the Dhaka-Barisal highway on Wednesday (May 27).

The deceased were identified as Saiful Molla, 25, son of Kanchan Molla of Gangadordi area of ​​Bhanga upazila, and Al Imran Sharif, 28, son of Jahangir Sharif of Zianagar Mohalla of Rupatali Housing area of ​​Barisal Sadar upazila.

Bhanga Highway Police Station-Police said that Al Imran was going from Dhaka to Barisal for the Eid holidays. On the way, he collided head-on with Saiful Molla's motorcycle coming from the opposite direction in Purba Sadardi area. The two drivers were killed on the spot.

Rezaul Islam Howlader and Md. Basar Molla were injured in the incident. They have been admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.

Bhanga Highway Police Station OC Md. Helal Uddin said the bodies of the deceased were kept at the police station. They were later handed over to their relatives. The two motorcycles involved in the accident have been seized at the police station.
